Mission Statement

To produce food that benefits the wellness of our customers, our families and generations to come.

About Us

We are a small family farm on 15 acres of woods and pasture. Our main focus is on our herd of milking goats, (for raw milk) and pastured chickens, (for eggs and meat).  However, we also have 100% Grassfed beef & sheep as well as forage fed hogs (acorns, roots and whey from cheese making).

We are a chemical-free, no antibiotics, no vaccines farm. We DO NOT use genetically modified feeds and we do not feed soy or corn to any of our animals. We are very passionate about this and we are excited how much the health of our family and animals has improved since being committed to this ethical and environmentally enhancing approach.  We believe in following a different approach to farming, a path not often followed, and principles honoring God’s creation.  Often reminding ourselves how we can mimic nature.

We have also seen some exciting land healing and soil building benefits from moving the chickens every day (not to mention the improved nutrition in the eggs) and using rotational grazing patterns for our goats and cows and using compost from our farm instead of commercial chemical fertilizers.

We are not certified organic. I like to tell people we are direct to consumer certified. The food industry is in an age that it is imperative that consumers get to know their farmer.  We truly do value honesty and transparency and if there are any questions on product integrity what better way than to come and see for yourself?

We do have a license to produce and sell raw milk and a PDA license to process milk into value added dairy products.

Corn and Soy Free, Non GMO

Our happy healthy hens are out on pasture in portable shelters that we move to fresh grass every 1-2 days from spring to fall.  In the winter they are housed in a hoop building with the goats. This method allows our hens to scratch and peck through the goat’s bedding pack and find morsels of feed and parasites and other insects that could potentially over winter into the spring.

Our hens are NEVER vaccinated, debeaked or fed anything antibiotics or medications as is quite common with industrialized agriculture livestock practices (or Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations) We are well aware that some farmers have had it rough with the Avian Flu in their CAFO but we believe more than ever that if we mimic nature most of those problems disappear.

Our hens are known by our customers for the vibrantly orange, nutritious yolks they produce which we believe comes from the fresh air, sunshine and a diet high in grass and insect proteins and low in Omega 6 linoleic acid from polyunsaturated fatty acids.

We are confident you will have to look hard to findeggs that are more nutritious and vibrantly orange than from Peaceful Springs Farm!
