We had Creative Cabinetry build the custom inset walnut cabinets for our new custom home, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. The quality is exceptional, and the craftsmanship is second to none. Every cabinet fits perfectly, and the attention to detail is evident throughout our home.

We have had a wonderful experience using Creative Cabinetry for our kitchen redo. Initially we had investigated various big box options when we were making our decision. We had stopped in at Creative Cabinetry one rainy day in March and while there, we observed cabinets being built as well as some that were being painted. The process was interesting. So, we asked Creative Cabinetry for a quote and found them very comparable to the big box stores.
Creative Cabinetry uses only 1/2 inch plywood in the construction of the entire cabinet. This will ensure a longevity in the cabinets; NO mfd in any of their cabinet construction. (Yay!)
James Beachy, the proprietor, was a good listener and communicator. He asked pertinent questions to clarify muddy ideas and then was willing to create the cabinets we wanted, not give us a "standard cabinet" with "placers" to ensure symmetry in the kitchen. He also had us think about hardware, sink and countertops to reduce downtime and help us get our kitchen back into working order quickly. It was less than 3 weeks from deconstruction to reconstruction with a fully functioning kitchen. This is our fourth kitchen remodel (in 30 years) and is the fastest turnover we have ever had for a kitchen redo.
We'd also like to send a shout out to Leon who was our cabinet builder, and Taylor who was the draftsman and liaison between Creative Cabinetry and Millenium Countertops (from Ottumwa, Iowa. A major thanks to both Leon and Taylor for delivering and installing the cabinets in about 5 hours. They were both very helpful and willing to communicate effectively with us about the kitchen layout while doing the installation.
Our kitchen looks beautiful with the natural light flowing into the room giving this space the airiness it lacked before. But best of all- it is a functional kitchen with pullouts, a hidden trashcan, better utilization of the space, and proper corner cabinet!
Now we must finish painting and put in a backsplash....

We would absolutely recommend Creative Cabinetry to anyone considering a kitchen/ bathroom remodel.

Creative Cabinetry’s custom hickory cabinets and complimentary finish carpentry, far surpassed our hopes and expectations throughout the construction of our new home. We still enjoy the deep breaths of admiration and appreciation of his talents when visitors cross our threshold for the first time.
James has a gift for a creative vision crafted by experienced hands and carpentry skills. His honest calm demeanor, attention to detail we didn’t comprehend sometimes, developed into a trust not found often these days. We remain friends to this day.
Our home is not elaborate. As empty nesters we desired a simple quality in this our first construction experience after 35 years in one house. James provided the solutions to our dreams with the challenges we requested.
An open glassed in staircase to the lower level with many difficult angles all encased in rustic hickory. An unplanned built in desk and overhead bookcase in the study was an afterthought. The resulting custom design so beautiful and not available anywhere else.

The many built ins, kitchen cabinets, bath vanities, ceiling coving, doors and window trim are just what you would expect from a gentleman like James. We continue to delight in our new home, and thank God often that our paths crossed with James Beechy.
