Newswanger Meats was founded in 2008, specializing in custom processing of beef, hogs, and deer. After several expansions, a new facility was built in 2006 and opened in June 2007 as a fully inspected plant under the Ohio Department of Agriculture. Today, Newswanger Meats operates a storefront offering fresh and frozen beef, pork, chicken, smoked products, deli items, and cheeses—all inspected daily to ensure quality and safety.

In 2010, they expanded to include private labeling for farmers and began offering uncured processed products. Now processing around 500 beef, 800 hogs, and 1,000 deer each year, Newswanger Meats proudly serves Richland County and surrounding areas, including Ashland, Crawford, Huron, Knox, and Morrow Counties. The company continues to provide trusted processing services, including custom cuts, sausage and bratwurst production, curing and smoking, and wild game processing.

Great place, they were super busy when I was there.But the girl was just as pleasant as could be.I've called three times on the phone.Everybody's been nice and helpful. I've only heard great things about this place from friends.Now I see why.

Bought ground beef and the next day it was discolored and definitely spoiled. Not much of a selection of steaks and what they did have had no marbling. They looked like they were from a butchered 15 year old milk cow.
