So impressed! This morning they arrived promptly at 7:30. Six guys, a truck and trailer loaded with our precut, pre-stained lumber and shingles (that match our current house shingles). The holes had been dug and cement had been poured weeks ago for the posts to be set today. They set all the brackets and posts, then the 7 beams and braced the sides with 2x4’s. Watching the 20’ beams being set in place was backbreaking to watch! 6 guys lifting them to the top of 3 ladders. Then 3 guys lifted them into place. One timber needed a nudge to fit into place. Watched in anticipation, and they did it right. They used a block of wood between the timber and the sledge hammer. No damage. Everyone knew their particular job and by 10:30 took their lunch break in the shade. Promptly at 11:00, they went back to work. As soon as they had the lumber on the roof on the far side, shingles were being nail gunned. By that time the other side of the roof was nailed down and the shingles were being nailed. They used stain spray paint to touch up the nails and covered any blemishes. Cleanup was ongoing as they worked. They finished at 1:00 Everything put away and pulled out the driveway.
